Today was one of those days….work felt like it lasted 36 hours, I was being pulled in every direction, the stress was mounting throughout the day and it couldn’t end soon enough. It SUCKED. Well, all of that melted away when the little giggle monster was home waiting for me.

And…….it’s over
Itty bitty’s first Christmas came and went so quickly. We filled her days with family visits near and far. We started out near by spending some quality time with my family. It was a great couple of days eating too much, watching the little ones run around the house, decorating sleighs or cake balls and then eating too much again. Oh and in between that we tried to get a group shot of the little cousins about 73 times….I love all of them and the craziness that occurred trying to get them to look at the camera. The irony was the last group shot we took at the end of the last day was the family shot and every picture taken the girls did FANTASTIC, we only had to retake the picture for the silly adults.
not sure which one started this mess….
Sweet Sayla
Kead was sooo anxious to help…..

Decorating Santa’s sleigh with the girls
This picture makes me smile because Addie is trying to be sweet by giving Sayla a kiss but in the midst of doing this she is pulling her hair to get her closer.
Some of the best group shots…
Remke family Christmas…success (well it would of been if Dan and Shanna were here.)
We were all set to leave for west Texas the next day but the brunt of the snow storm hit them and we were delayed by a day, and I am so grateful we played it safe. Several friends who attempted the drive the previous couple of days ending up taking 2 or 3 times as long as it usually takes to make the drive. By the time we got there, there was plenty of snow still on the ground to make 2 10 foot tall snowmen. It was so funny to watch all of Dave’s siblings together trying to put them together. It was all a little bittersweet watching them from the warmth of the car as I could only imagine what joy it would of brought his dad to see his kids together laughing and carrying on. Between all of the fun in the snow we had a fantastic time with the Seals with the exception of the night in the hotel when Addie decided she didn’t want to sleep from about 12:15 to 4:15…we tried EVERYTHING to get her to go to sleep but all she wanted to do was play. Poor little thing was up at 7:30 the next morning despite her short night nap. She took 1 little short morning nap and was such a trooper all day until we left town, she passed out once we hit the road at 4:30 and poor little thing didn’t even wake up until 6 the next morning. She had to take so many naps the next day to catch up on her sleep. She was such a trooper.
The snow we were driving through, some people still weren’t too careful…..
Random reunion at 7-11 with one of Dave’s high school buddies
Sweet Kendall
2 of the largest snowmen I have ever seen
Addie was excited to hit the road to catch up on some sleep….
I would say her first Christmas was a great one, too many toys, but lots of laughs and lots of fun.

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus…..
We finally made it out to see Santa today, with all of the craziness that our life has had this past month our to do list was not a priority until recently. We have most of the shopping complete, hardly any of the wrapping done but oh well.
We decided to try to meet Santa this morning before the crowds got there, we were in line before they opened their doors and only had to wait about 30 minutes until we made it to his lap.
It was colder than we realized so we bundled up with what we had in the car so we wouldn’t freeze to death. Addie was in such a good mood, she was smiling to anyone who would give her attention. I still thought this might not turn out with a cute little smile on Santa’s lap. I place her on Santa’s lap, only for Santa to tell me I did it wrong and shouldn’t of let her look at him as I sat her down.
Here is the end result
I still love this picture, she probably won’t one day, but oh well.
Merry Christmas!

Sweet Cousins
This past weekend we took advantage of the CRAZY Southwest deal of $25 tickets and got to spend some much needed time in Lubbock with Addie’s sweet cousins. We had a great time just catching up, watching football and eating. I think sweet 15 month old Sayla ate more than the rest of us.
This trip made me even more excited for Christmas, this will be such an awesome Christmas with all the little girls.
Jordi has her hands full with Sayla and Addie (yes, Addie weighs 3 lbs more than Sayla :))
Jordi sorry for posting this but this still makes me laugh out loud. Keadryn showing off her full she made her diaper. It might not be the picture that makes me laugh but the memory of her running around the house doing her silly dance :)

Sick :(
We made it to 7.5 months and little Addie has her first round of sickness. She woke up this morning on fire. After undressing her and feeding her, her temp came down a bit but it was still 100.3. Not high enough for the Dr but high enough to make us concerned. She was very lethargic throughout the day but still had her appetite. Her fever spiked at the end of the day so we made it in to see Amber and thankfully it was not RSV or the flu. She just has some crud thing. We are supposed to watch for any new signs over the next few days but thankfully it appears to be a mild sickness.
The one good thing about Addie not feeling well is that she loves to snuggle.

LoveBug is 7 months old!
Stop! Seriously stop! Stop growing so fast. I can not believe that my little LoveBug is 7 months old. CRAZY!
In this last month Addie has become so mobile. She easily pulls herself up on pretty much any object. She is able to take a couple of steps while she holds on to the chair, crib, couch, whatever. One of her favorite toys is her rollarchair thingy. She LOVES to be on the go on her own.
Addie has 2 teeth. Her 2 bottom teeth came popping through this month. You have to be careful when she grabs your fingers…those chompers will hurt!
She loves food, loves it! We haven’t found anything that she doesn’t enjoy. Granny bought her some num-nums this weekend, and she devours them! Finally something that looks like real food to her. She loves her sippy cup.
Loves to hear herself speak. Night time is her most vocal time, she loves to carry on and on. It is also her most giggly time, sometimes just a funny face will make her fall over from laughter. Her little laugh is my most favorite sound in the world.
For the most part Addie is still very easy going. She does experience some separation anxiety. Guys seem to concern her more than ladies. It takes her a little bit to warm up to new people, she takes after her mom in that way : )
I love this little Lovebug and am so incredibly thankful for these 7 great months.

Hoppy Halloween
Addie’s first Halloween was a fun filled weekend. The weekend started off with a visit to my office to complete my costume.
Dave is in costume as well…he doesn’t wear denim shirts everyday :)
Friday night we were invited to a Brew-ha-ha and it was a great party. We were the only ones there with a little one, but she didn’t make a peep. I think she was trying to understand what was going around her.
Saturday was a whirlwind as we had a little neighborhood get together before the trick or treaters hit the streets. The Smith’s came by with sweet Lola who is 2.5 months older. Addie was a little over the whole dress up thing by now and wanted to get to bed in a hurry, but she put up with us before her bedtime.
Addie liked Lola’s costume…she seemed to feel a little silly as a bunny next to the cute little Hawaiian girl. Since we were fading fast there was no luck getting a picture sans paci at this time of night.
Overall it was a fun Halloween, we look forward to next year!
Hoppy Halloween!
